Welcome to Karisma! We are so glad you are swinging by to learn more about us. We are a team of three that collaborate to create our signature look. We would love for you to learn more about us to help you get a better picture of who we are. So grab a cup of coffee, kick back, and get to know us!
Hi, I'm Kristin!
I got my first camera when I was 16 and my first job was in a photo shop -way back when cameras used film! It was always been my dream to be a full-time photographer and I am loving being part of the Karisma team.
I was a military brat and now love being a military wife. I have found something to love wherever I have lived and have made some lifelong friends along the way. I am so glad we have settled in the Kansas City area because it is so much fun! Who knew I would love the Midwest?
Aside from photography, I enjoy spending time with my family, hanging out in coffee shops, reading good books, and trying new keto recipes. Between raising my five kids and now helping my parents through their older years, I have learned the importance of capturing life's tender moments.
Growing up in a small town with one coffee shop, I have always dreamed of owning a small business. In love with small business, I have been storing up all the marketing and business ideas that I can. That, coupled with the experience I gained working with an international non-profit as a photographer, making the jump to Karisma was seamless. Starting with a small Nikon, I so proudly purchased from Target, I have enjoyed moving beyond taking pictures of my beloved dachshund to the most intimate moments of a wedding. I am loving every second.
While I still torture my family and animals by making every day a photo shoot, I am often found drinking Lorelai Gilmore-sized cups of coffee, baby-wearing my daughter while finding the small businesses in Kansas City, or cracking up at an episode of New Girl for the 15th time (I am 100% Jessica Day). My love language is plants. How many plants makes you a crazy plant lady? I'm all about Jesus, essential oils, yoga, cheesy puns, all the animals, and piles and piles of snow.
It's Your Boy, Logan!
As a current student at Kansas City Art Institute I offer a unique eye to the Karisma team. From a very young age I have enjoyed drawing, painting, and photography. I have always had a passion for art and I love being able to have a job that reflects that. I am really good at catching moments and details that normally get missed. Whether it's a family photo shoot or a wedding, I enjoy working behind the scenes to provide that "cherry on top" kind of photo.
When I'm not in school I enjoy traveling with my girlfriend and her family, sampling locally brewed beer, and listening to records. I love the Kansas City area because there is a little something for everyone. If you are like me you know where all the great book, record, and camera shops are hiding. No matter where I go or what I will be doing, I am hardly ever without a camera (or two) hanging from my shoulder.
